Description:
The perfect set for large family tents or awnings. The set includes screw pegs for screwing in with a cordless drill or by hand – five times lighter than conventional metal pegs, but with ten times better hold thanks to the cutting and compressing thread. Ideal for soft, sandy, and even hard or frozen ground. The height-adjustable hook ensures a secure hold, even if the peg cannot be screwed in completely. If resistance is encountered, pre-drilling can help.
Application:
- The N-screw pegs are used for tent ropes and storm straps, and awning flaps.
- The S-screw pegs are used for carpet eyelets or tent skirts/mud flaps.
- Masonry drill bits (6 and 10 mm) are used for pre-drilling in compacted ground.
- The Alu combi-tool is used to screw in the screw pegs by hand or with a cordless drill.
N-Screw Pegs:
- Use the blue hook and let it sit loosely and pointing upwards on the screw.
- Screw in with a cordless drill or hand wrench until the screw peg tightens firmly.
- The screw peg does not need to be screwed in completely. Once it shows no more forward movement and is tight, sufficient hold is achieved.
- Now click the blue hook into the lowest position (close to the ground).
- Now hook tent ropes, lines, or storm straps into the hook.
- The low hook placement ensures optimal stability due to reduced leverage.
- Use the 10 mm drill bit for pre-drilling in stony/compact ground.
S-Screw Peg:
- Screw the peg completely into the ground – manually or with a cordless drill + adapter.
- It must be screwed in completely, as there is no hook for height adjustment.
- Not suitable for securing larger objects in strong wind – for this, use larger Peggy Peg screw pegs (e.g., N in the set or Peg&Stop line).
- Not suitable for anchor plates.
- Use the 6 mm drill bit for pre-drilling in compact ground.
Tips for Use:
- N: In very dry or frozen ground, pre-drill a pilot hole with a 10 mm masonry drill bit. Then, always work with the hook and height adjustment.
- In hard ground, the thread often compacts very quickly.
- S: In very compact ground, pre-drill with a 6 mm masonry drill bit.
Suitable for:
Screw Peg N:
- 85% of all soil types, ideal for wet ground.
- Gravel top layers, moist and dry lawns, compacted sand.
- Caravans with awnings or large family tents.
Screw Peg S:
- Grass, normal soils.
- Meadows and dry lawns.
- Small trekking tents, carpets, awning skirts/mud flaps.
